A mother and son are alleged to have attacked a 23-year-old and his companion at a hotel near Munich with a pair of scissors and a frying pan.

A 51-year-old woman and her son of the same age are now subject to judicial arrest warrants. The pair are suspected of having assaulted two young men in an accommodation in Unterhaching. They are alleged to have used kitchen utensils as weapons.
The attack took place in the early hours of 8 June. A 23-year-old had rented a room in the building south of Munich together with a 21-year-old. Shortly after five o'clock, the suspected perpetrators entered the accommodation and attacked the pair. The attackers are related to the younger victim—as mother and brother.
During the altercation, the assault victims sustained injuries. One of them subsequently required hospitalisation.
Investigators are treating it as a hate-motivated offence. The specialised department for extremism and terrorism at the Munich prosecutor's office is therefore handling the proceedings. A magistrate ordered the two suspects to be held in pre-trial detention.
