An armed robbery of a child occurred in Halle-Neustadt on the afternoon of 17 June 2026. Two male suspects reportedly attacked a 13-year-old at around 14:30 on Hallorenstraße.
According to police, the two initially threatened the boy with a baton and pepper spray. They then demanded the valuables he was carrying and struck the child, though without causing injuries. The attackers then searched their victim and took cash amounting to a low double-digit sum. They subsequently fled the scene.
Initial police investigations suggest the perpetrators may be a 13-year-old and a 15-year-old teenager. All parties involved hold German nationality. The investigation by Halle (Saale) police station is ongoing.
