The public prosecution office in Oldenburg has charged a 63-year-old man with wilful manslaughter. The incident, which led to the death of a 34-year-old, occurred in March in a business building in Nordenham.

The victim was found lifeless on the premises. Just days later, the now 63-year-old man, who was 62 at the time, voluntarily came forward to investigators. Since his arrest, he has been held in custody pending trial.

According to the prosecution's account, the accused is said to have killed the victim through severe blows to the head. Should the court find him guilty, he faces a life sentence. The competent regional court in Oldenburg is now examining whether the charges will be admitted for trial.
