Mobile phone analysis incriminates defendant in Fabian murder case
In the murder trial of eight-year-old Fabian, the movement data from Gina H.'s smartphone has become a central piece of incriminating evidence. According to BILD, the recorded data correspond strikingly precisely with the assumed sequence of events – yet simultaneously contradict the defendant's own statements.
An expert analyst examined the device's data in detail. In doing so, he established that the alleged banking transactions that Gina H. cites as an alibi would have been scarcely possible at the time in question. Moreover, the recording of movement data shows puzzling gaps and delays.
Particularly striking: according to the overall analysis, up to six alleged trips to the scene of the crime could be reconstructed. What precise significance these findings have for the ongoing trial remains the subject of further proceedings.
BILD reports that despite the incriminating data, individual entries do not fit the picture and raise new questions. The defence is likely to use these irregularities as a starting point.
