A 39-year-old woman from Augsburg has been sentenced to two years and four months in prison for serious sexual abuse of her three-year-old daughter at the time.

The district court in Augsburg has sentenced a 39-year-old woman to two years and four months in prison for serious sexual abuse and the production of child sexual abuse material. The defendant had filmed her daughter, who was only three years old at the time, for a man she had met via a classified advert portal.
The offences occurred between 2015 and 2018. The mother met a man named "Carsten" on an internet platform that is considered by investigators to be a meeting place for paedophile criminals. According to her own account, she was initially rejected when the contact asked for obscene images of her daughter. However, she remained in contact with him and eventually provided vile videos after he had enticed her with "pocket money".
The perpetrator claimed she never received the promised money. She later deleted the recordings from the platform and believed the case was closed. Years later, the man came to the attention of authorities. During a search of his apartment, police secured the videos of the woman from Augsburg. The paedophile criminal, whose real name is Mirco S., had apparently persuaded several women to provide abuse material.
The judge emphasised that the mother had exploited her child's vulnerability. The now 14-year-old daughter and her siblings were placed in care. The defendant is now permitted to see her children only once a month under the supervision of a lawyer.
