According to BILD, the 71-year-old Holocaust denier Alfred S. from Tutzing (Bavaria) appeared before the Munich Regional Court on Monday once again – charged with incitement to hatred, the Hitler salute, and incitement to murder. The multiple convicted man used the beginning of the trial to shout contemptuous theses into the courtroom before proceedings had even begun.
On YouTube and Telegram, Alfred S. had distributed antisemitic content, denied the Holocaust, and called for violence against Jews. As the prosecutor read out the charge sheet for nearly an hour, the defendant repeatedly nodded in agreement, laughed in amusement, and repeatedly gave the thumbs up with his right hand despite having handcuffs on.
He subsequently complained about his restraint: "I am a senior citizen, I demand humanity." Shortly after, he demanded: "Water, I need water!" Throughout the entire first day of proceedings, he wore an abdominal restraint belt and handcuffs.
Presiding Judge Montoya Durango ended the presentation of the defendant briefly: "The handcuffs stay, you know exactly why." Apparently, there had been physical altercations during an earlier proceeding against him, which is why the security measure had been ordered.
The verdict from the 3rd Criminal Chamber of the Munich Regional Court is expected in October.
