As part of their patrol activities, officers in Merseburg stopped and checked a 49-year-old cyclist and seized various substances that could be classified as narcotics.
The check took place late in the evening of 21 June 2026 at around 23:20 on Teichstraße. During identity verification, the emergency personnel searched the man and discovered several containers with plant-based and resinous materials.
Specifically, the officers found a clear plastic bag and a plastic container, both filled with a green, plant-based substance. Additionally, brown lumps were stored in a glass jar, which according to police assessment could be hashish.
The 49-year-old was informed of the allegations raised against him. The seized substances were confiscated as evidence. An investigation was initiated on suspicion of violation of the Narcotics Act.
