A young man was attacked and robbed by two unknown individuals during the night in Naumburg-Bad Kösen. Investigators arrested the suspects shortly afterwards.

Shortly after midnight on Thursday, a 25-year-old man in Naumburg-Bad Kösen became the victim of a robbery. The young pedestrian was on Straße An der Brücke when two unknown men approached him. The perpetrators suddenly struck him repeatedly without any discernible reason.
The offenders then forced the victim, under threat of further violence, to hand over his personal belongings. The slightly injured 25-year-old had to surrender his rucksack and his wallet. With this haul, the two attackers escaped.
Investigators from Burgenlandkreis police station were able to provisionally arrest the suspects thanks to intensive search efforts shortly thereafter. One of the two men is scheduled to be brought before an investigating magistrate on Friday.
