In the Rottelsdorf district in the Gerbstedt area, thieves gained access to two wind turbines and stole several metres of high-voltage cable from them. A further wind turbine was also attacked, but the perpetrators did not manage to get inside this installation.
An employee of the affected company reported the theft to police on Wednesday afternoon. Officers from Mansfeld-Südharz police station secured traces at the scene, which must now be evaluated.
