The disturbance began in a public square, where the parties began threatening each other verbally. The situation escalated into a dispute and quickly turned into a physical confrontation. According to authorities, a cutting or stabbing weapon may have been used in the altercation.

After the conflict, those involved left the scene. Authorities traced the suspects and took them into custody on the same day, several hours after the incident occurred.
