Indecent exposure incidents reported in Helsinki Central Park
According to Helsinki Uutiset, multiple indecent exposure incidents have been reported in Helsinki Central Park during the autumn. Ilta-Sanomat reports that police have received reports from various parts of the park, and the most recent case known to police occurred on Sunday.
Police do not rule out the possibility that more than one perpetrator is responsible. In some cases the man has been older, in others younger.
– It is therefore not necessarily the same person, police state.
The incidents could potentially be classified as public violation of sexual morality or sexual harassment.
Similar cases have been reported elsewhere in Finland. In August, an English-speaking man exposed his genitals to a woman at the Simpsio outdoor recreation area in Lapua. In July 2025, a woman in her thirties witnessed a older man engaging in sexual self-gratification at South Park in central Pori.
– I quickly realised that we were not going to stay and witness this performance any further, the woman said.
