According to Le Nouvel Obs, Youssef B., a 58-year-old landscape worker, was near Louis-Pergaud square in Trappes when Pengo Bossio Wangi, 26, was fatally shot on the morning of 23 October. Wangi succumbed to bullets fired by Kevin T., the perpetrator of the racist terrorist attacks carried out in Trappes and La Verrière (Yvelines).
B., who was waiting in his service vehicle, rushed to help the young man. He attempted cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Pengo Bossio Wangi died in his arms. B. is among the last direct witnesses to this moment of the tragedy that struck Yvelines on the morning of 23 October.
The attacks took place in two separate locations: Trappes and La Verrière. They targeted several victims. The gunman was apprehended later. The investigation is continuing to establish the exact circumstances and motives for these acts of violence.
