Larissa: Two arrested after falling into Police Security sting with cannabis package
Larissa Police Security conducted a controlled delivery operation and arrested two men who received a shipment containing almost 1.2 kilograms of cannabis. Additional quantities, money and equipment were found in residences.

A 26-year-old and a 29-year-old were handcuffed in Larissa after receiving a package full of cannabis in an operation set up by local Police Security.
The incident took place in the afternoon of Thursday 11 June 2026. The two men, who were already under the scrutiny of prosecuting authorities, went to a courier service point to receive a shipment from Thessaloniki. As soon as they took it in their hands, police officers immobilised them.
Inside the package were hidden 1,080 grammes of raw cannabis and 102 grammes in chocolate form.
The authorities immediately raided their homes. There they discovered a further 444.6 grammes of raw cannabis, 13.9 grammes of processed cannabis, an electronic precision scale and €8,660 in cash. Everything was seized.
The operation was carried out pursuant to a relevant prosecution order.
