A brawl involving a sharp weapon broke out on Vizaníou Street in Piraeus, shortly before 2 p.m. on Wednesday. The cause was a disagreement over where a car would be parked.

A 77-year-old man engaged in an intense altercation with two brothers, aged 44 and 38. The verbal dispute started over a parking space. The elderly man lost his composure, grabbed a trident and attacked the two men, threatening them.

The incident unfolded before the eyes of passers-by and residents of the area. The 44-year-old lives in the apartment building outside which the incident occurred.

Police officers arrived quickly at the scene. They immobilised the perpetrator and took him to the Municipal Theatre Police Station. There a case file was opened against him for violations of weapons legislation and for attempted causing of bodily harm.
