Police authorities have identified five more individuals involved in an incident of violent assault against police forces at a sports facility in Attica in February 2026.

The Subdirectorate for Combating Organised Sports Violence has proceeded to identify five more persons alleged to have participated in a violent incident against police forces. The incident occurred in February of the current year, during the conduct of a football match at a stadium in the wider Attica region.
The new identifications emerged through detailed examination of visual material obtained from the sports facility's surveillance system. The investigation is being conducted pursuant to a prosecutorial order, with the aim of clarifying the circumstances of the incident.
It is noted that at an earlier stage of the investigation, three further suspects had been arrested. According to the authorities, the individuals in question had participated in a group throwing of objects towards the police officers who were present at the venue. The relevant statement had been released to the public in mid-February 2026.
The case file that has been formed has been forwarded to the competent judicial services for further action.
