A young local man attempted to evade a traffic stop by throwing raw cannabis on the ground, and assaulted police officers during his arrest.
19-year-old arrested in Kos for drugs and assault on police officers
A 19-year-old local man was arrested on the island of Kos by the Crime Investigation and Detection Department of the area. A case file was opened against him for drug trafficking, disobedience, dangerous driving, and violent conduct towards officials.
The incident began when police stopped the young man for a traffic check. Instead of complying, the 19-year-old attempted to flee on his motorcycle. During the escape, he threw raw cannabis weighing 54 grammes onto the road.
Police officers managed to immobilise the perpetrator, who then assaulted the officials. As it was established, he was driving the motorcycle without holding a valid driving licence.
