On 6 June 2026, police officers of the Crime Investigation and Detection Directorate of Rhodes arrested a 44-year-old man, a citizen of another country, on the island of Rhodes.
The man had been issued a conviction sentence by the Dodecanese Three-Judge Court of Serious Crimes, with a prison sentence of 5 years. The conviction concerned a case of trafficking in narcotic substances that had taken place in Rhodes in December 2017.
The arrest operation was carried out on the morning of the same day. The arrested man was handed over to the judicial authorities to serve the sentence imposed on him.
