Police officers in Volos arrested a couple riding on a motorcycle. They were found in possession of 0.61 grammes of cocaine and 6 prescription drugs without a medical prescription.

Officers from the organised crime unit of Volos made an arrest during the night of Wednesday to Thursday, 18 June 2026, of a man and woman who were riding on a motorcycle. During a check, the officers found illegal substances on them.
Specifically, the 36-year-old man was in possession of 0.61 grammes of white powder that was identified as cocaine. His 41-year-old female passenger was carrying 6 tablets for which she did not have a valid doctor's prescription. The police officers seized the substances and took the two arrested individuals to the competent authorities.
A few hours earlier, on Wednesday afternoon, another police unit in Volos had arrested a young man aged 28. The man was carrying a plastic package containing 0.88 grammes of a substance that was identified as heroin. In this case too, the prescribed procedure was followed.
Within a short period of time, the prosecution authorities in the area proceeded with three separate arrests of individuals who were in possession of prohibited psychotropic substances without having the required authorisation.
