Thessaloniki: Four arrests for drug trafficking – cocaine and cannabis seized

Police officers from the Oraiocastro Prosecution Department arrested four members of a drug gang in Thessaloniki. Cocaine, over 1.8 kilograms of cannabis and €2,260 were seized.

Four individuals were arrested in the early hours of Friday, 5 June in Thessaloniki, as part of a coordinated operation against drug trafficking, according to kathimerini.gr. They are three men aged 22, 23 and 29 years old and a woman aged 24, members of a gang involved in the trafficking of narcotics.

The operation was carried out by police officers from the Department for the Prosecution and Investigation of Crimes in Oraiocastro, with the assistance of the Department for Crime Prevention and Suppression, in the presence of a representative of the judicial authority. Searches were conducted at residences in Toumpa, Neochori and Dendropótami.

During the searches, amounts of cocaine were found and seized in two nylon packages, 1 kilogramme and 834.85 grammes of raw cannabis, €2,260 in cash, precision scales, a cannabis grater, two folding clubs, a knife, two mobile phones and two security cameras. A private car belonging to the 29-year-old was also seized as a means of transporting narcotics.

According to the preliminary investigation, a 26-year-old Greek woman had been obtaining narcotics from the 22-year-old and the 29-year-old at least since November 2025, both for personal use and for sale. A file has been compiled against her, as well as against the four arrested individuals, for participation in a criminal organisation and violations of legislation on narcotics, weapons and personal data. The arrested individuals will be brought before the competent prosecutor.
