During a search of the man's flat, investigators seized skulls, a complete human foot and hand, and a facial reconstruction made from human facial skin. Additional bones were found stored in a suitcase. A preserved jar containing a heart was also seized, with experts still investigating whether it is of human or animal origin.
During interrogation, the man admitted to collecting the body parts and claimed he was particularly attracted to human remains. According to investigators, the suspect also revealed that he prepared food from the stolen remains and consumed it.
Staff from the National Investigation Office conducted the search of the man's home on 17 June after receiving information that he was storing human remains both at home and at his workplace. According to police, the search uncovered multiple skulls, a complete human foot, a hand and a facial reconstruction made from human skin – reports The Independent.
Investigators found additional bones in a suitcase, as well as a preserved jar containing a heart. Experts are working to determine whether the organ is of human or animal origin. Police seized the suspect's computer, several laptops, a tablet, mobile telephone and storage devices.

Authorities are currently investigating the case for unlawful use of human corpses. According to police, the man, who works as a hospital carer, has a keen interest in anatomy and pathology, and is known to dissect animals.
Investigators suspect the man obtained some of the human remains through his hospital work, and other parts through disturbing abandoned cemeteries across Hungary and Slovakia.
The seized remains are being examined by forensic pathologists to determine their origin. Police have stated that depending on the results of the examination, the list of charges against the suspect may be expanded.
