A report was received by police on Monday evening regarding a property in Budapest's District VIII, Józsefváros. Officers who arrived at the scene discovered the body of an 85-year-old woman in the flat on Práter Street – according to reporting by Telex citing police information.
Upon examining the circumstances of the death, it emerged that non-natural causes may have been involved. Investigators from the Budapest Police Headquarters' homicide unit therefore initiated criminal proceedings on suspicion of manslaughter, with the perpetrator's identity currently unknown.
The Budapest Police Headquarters issued a nationwide arrest warrant in order to find the offender. Further details of the investigation have not yet been made public.
