More than 1,300 arrests, thousands of charges, hundreds of kilograms of narcotic substances and a substantial quantity of weapons removed from criminal organisations: these are the results of the State Police's national "High-Impact" operation. This is reported by anfp.it, the website of the National Association of Police Managers, which has expressed appreciation for the outcome of the intervention.
The operation was coordinated by the State Police through the Central Operational Service, with the contribution of Mobile Squads, territorial investigative offices and Crime Prevention Units, deployed on a national scale.
Enzo Letizia, secretary of the National Association of Police Managers, stated that the figures from the operation demonstrate "not only the effectiveness of enforcement action, but above all the security system's ability to develop a coordinated, widespread and comprehensive response across the entire national territory".
According to Letizia, the operation demonstrates how combating organised crime, drug trafficking, dealing and the availability of weapons in urban contexts requires an operational model founded on the integration of investigative activity, information analysis and territorial control.
The operation highlights, in the Association's view, the strategic value of Mobile Squads and the Central Operational Service as a point of reference for national investigative coordination. The ANFP emphasised the importance of continuing to invest in specialist training, technologies and strengthening the personnel of the State Police.
"Security is not safeguarded solely by intervening after a crime has been committed", Letizia stated, "but also through a constant presence on the ground capable of preventing criminal phenomena, identifying situations at risk and restoring confidence to citizens".
The Association also thanked Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi for the words of appreciation expressed towards the men and women of the State Police engaged in the operation. "Public recognition of the work carried out by police forces represents an important signal of institutional attention towards those who work daily to guarantee the country's security", the ANFP secretary emphasised.
Letizia concluded by directing the Association's praise towards colleagues who participated in the operation, citing the professionalism and sense of duty demonstrated in an activity which, according to the ANFP, contributes concretely to strengthening citizens' confidence in institutions.
