As napolitoday.it reports, officers from the Pozzuoli Police Station and the Mobile Squad of the Police Headquarters are pursuing a 32-year-old from Pozzuoli who opened fire yesterday evening against a father and his son on via Matteotti, near Largo Tranvai.
The two had intervened to break up a quarrel between the man and his wife. The father was struck by a bullet in the abdomen, the son in the knee. After the shooting, the 32-year-old fled in a car, which was later found abandoned in Monterusciello.
The father is in serious condition and remains in guarded prognosis following lengthy surgery. The son, meanwhile, is not believed to be in life-threatening condition.
Surveillance cameras in the area captured the entire scene and several witnesses witnessed the shooting. The fugitive's wife was questioned at length by investigators as part of the ongoing investigation.
