Tony Boy before Milan investigating judge: "Gun for self-defence, drugs for personal use"

Tony Boy at validation hearing: denies drug trafficking, admits to weapon possession
Trapper Antonio Hueber, 26 years old, known as Tony Boy, defended himself before Milan investigating judge Chiara Valori during the validation hearing of his detention, held in San Vittore prison. According to Il Fatto Quotidiano, the hearing lasted approximately one hour.
"I have never dealt drugs, the drugs I had were for personal use, because I have a documented addiction. I had the weapon for self-defence, because I recently suffered a break-in at my home": these were the statements attributed to the trapper by his lawyer, Niccolò Vecchioni, to his client at the end of the hearing.
Hueber was arrested on Saturday 23 August by police on charges of possession with intent to supply cocaine, marijuana and hashish, as well as for possession of an unlicensed Beretta 6.35 calibre pistol with an erased serial number, and approximately fifty rounds of ammunition.
Vecchioni reported that Tony Boy answered all the judge's questions, firmly contesting the drug-trafficking charge and instead making confessional statements regarding weapon possession — purchased, according to reports, via Telegram. "We believe the drug-trafficking charge to be absolutely unfounded", the defence lawyer declared.
Regarding the drugs, the lawyer argued that the quantities found would be compatible with personal consumption. "These are modest quantities of narcotics held by a subject who has a documented and well-established addiction to multiple substances, with evident financial capacity that allows him to acquire a supply for personal use", Vecchioni explained, adding that the possession would not be "penally relevant".
At the end of the hearing, the defence requested an alternative measure of house arrest. The trapper has approximately one million followers on Instagram.
