Vilnius police reported a large-scale fraud case in which a capital city resident born in 1970 was harmed. More than 18,000 euros were fraudulently obtained from the woman over two separate incidents.

The first incident occurred last summer. The woman then lost 10,000 euros by investing funds in an online investment platform. As emerged later, this platform was created by fraudsters to lure victims' money.

The second fraud incident occurred later, when the woman was deceived once again. In total, across both incidents, the Vilnius resident lost more than 18,000 euros.

Police are conducting an investigation into these fraud cases. Officials urge residents to be cautious when investing online and to carefully verify financial platforms before transferring money.
