Around 23:20 on the night of Wednesday 10 to Thursday 11 June, an individual was violently assaulted on avenue Monterey, in the heart of the capital. Three assailants set upon him, knocked him down, then stole his gold necklace before fleeing.
Police services quickly launched a pursuit. A first suspect matching the description of one of the attackers was captured. Within minutes, the two other accomplices were also arrested.
The three men were taken to the police station for custody procedures. An investigation was launched to clarify the facts and determine the exact responsibilities in this robbery aggravated by violence.
