An unusual situation shook the district court of Luxembourg on Wednesday. Police officers were positioned inside the courtroom, a rare measure, before an accused man was forced to leave following a decision by the presiding judge.
The individual, a man in his thirties named Emir, was summoned to answer charges of threatening an attack as well as voluntary violence resulting in loss of work capacity. According to the charges, he allegedly kicked someone named Brian in the chest, then rushed at him to continue the assault.
The atmosphere was already highly tense when the defendant finally overstepped the line. Despite several warnings from the magistrate and the officers present, he made disrespectful remarks directed at the judge, referring to her eyesight through her glasses. The magistrate then ordered his immediate evacuation from the courtroom.
