Arrested in Rodange with metal piece linking suspect to break-in

According to contacto.lu, the Grand Ducal police were alerted at around midday on Monday, 20 July, to a break-in at a residential building in Rodange. Upon arrival, officers found that the building's front door had been forced open and discovered an electrical cable stretched between the building's garden and an adjacent plot of land.

The investigation led officers to a nearby property, where they identified a suspect. During a search, officers found in his possession a broken metal piece that fitted with a fragment recovered from the forced front door — an element that reinforced suspicion of his involvement in the break-in.

The man was also subject to an outstanding detention warrant in force, which led to his immediate arrest. He was transferred to a prison establishment and police drew up the relevant report.
