A man was arrested on Saturday morning at Rives de Clausen in the capital of Luxembourg after assaulting a person with pepper spray and stealing their personal belongings.
According to local police, the offence occurred in a car park in the area. The attacker sprayed the victim with pepper spray, then took their mobile phone and cash.
A patrol that was nearby immediately attended the scene. Upon seeing the officers, the suspect attempted to flee, but was apprehended shortly afterwards during a foot pursuit.
The arrested man was subsequently presented to an examining judge for criminal matters.
