Luxembourg law enforcement has intensified action against drug dealing in the capital. An operation conducted in late June in the railway station district led to the arrest of eight individuals suspected of dealing.

A joint operation by the Grand Ducal Police and Customs and Excise resulted in the arrest of eight people suspected of drug trafficking in the railway station district of Luxembourg City during the last weekend of June. The suspects were brought before the courts.
These new charges bring to 35 the number of people arrested for narcotic-related offences during June alone, a record for the year 2026. Over the first half of the year, law enforcement services took 148 individuals into custody for dealing activities. The vast majority of these seizures (131) were made in the act, whilst 17 others were carried out pursuant to arrest warrants.
This level of judicial activity exceeds the pace observed in 2025, the year in which 216 people were imprisoned for similar offences, with a marked concentration in the central urban area.
Furthermore, the Ville-Haute police station, located on rue du Fossé, extended its opening hours as of 1 May: it now operates continuously, day and night, seven days a week.
