Police arrested a man in Luxembourg's Gare district early on Sunday after he allegedly used a club during a brawl in a nightclub.

Luxembourg police received approximately 90 calls during Saturday night, with half relating to complaints of noise nuisance and the other half involving fights, disputes and public order disturbances, according to a police statement published on Sunday.
Most of the incidents had already been resolved by the time officers arrived at the scene, or were dealt with directly by the responding officers.
However, one case required intervention at a nightclub located in the Gare district, in the capital. At around 02:15 on Sunday, police were called following reports of a violent altercation. They arrested a person suspected of brandishing a club during the confrontation. A stick was found on the suspect.
Authorities kept the individual in custody, considering him a danger to his own safety and that of others. Charges were brought both for participation in the brawl and for illegal possession of a weapon.
