A young man has been killed by a stabbing in a detached house in Merl. The suspected perpetrator, a man of the same age, has been arrested and remanded in custody.

On the evening of 28 June, a tragedy occurred in the Merl district of Luxembourg. A young man aged 27 died following a knife attack committed inside a detached residence.
Law enforcement quickly apprehended a suspect. He is approximately the same age as the deceased person. He was brought before an investigating judge on Monday afternoon, who ordered his detention.
The Luxembourg public prosecutor's office entrusted the investigation to the criminal brigade. A magistrate was seized of the case and requested the expertise of a forensic pathologist.
The forensic and scientific police teams, accompanied by magistrates, conducted an examination of the body at the scene.
At this stage, investigators have found no apparent connection between the alleged attacker and the deceased. The investigation is continuing to determine the exact circumstances of this tragedy.
