Hungarian woman sought across Europe for child abduction and parental interference
The Grand Duchy has had a 43-year-old woman registered on the list of the European Union's most wanted fugitives. She is accused of abducting a minor and repeatedly obstructing the exercise of parental authority as established by the courts.
The suspect, Ildikó Bódi, a Hungarian national, disappeared with her child in December 2023, shortly after a court ruled on the minor's legal residence in favour of the father, according to information published by the European network for active search for fugitives (Enfast). Since that date, the father has been unable to see or communicate with the child.
Recent intelligence suggests that the fugitive and the minor are currently on Hungarian territory. A European arrest warrant and an international arrest warrant have been issued against the alleged abductor.
Enfast brings together police officials from 39 countries who collaborate to locate and apprehend offenders wanted on an international scale. Any person with information about the whereabouts of Ildikó Bódi can write to [email protected] or consult the website www.eumostwanted.eu.
