The district court of the capital has ruled on a tragedy that occurred six years ago. The performer and a collaborator were found guilty, whilst the other accused were acquitted.
Verdict delivered in case of child's death at Luxembourg Christmas market
The district court of Luxembourg has ruled this Thursday on a tragedy that occurred six years ago. In 2019, a young boy named Emran lost his life during an event organised as part of the city's Christmas market.
The court concluded that only the performer present that evening and one of his assistants were criminally responsible for the tragedy. The two men received prison sentences of twelve and nine months respectively, with full suspension. Financial penalties of 5,000 and 1,500 euros were also imposed on them.
The eight other people prosecuted had the charges against them rejected and were declared not guilty.
