Caruana Galizia alleges surveillance of jurors' hotel in Fenech murder trial

Matthew Caruana Galizia has alleged that Yorgen Fenech's defence lawyers are receiving photos taken from inside the hotel where jurors in the ongoing trial are being accommodated, Lovin Malta reports.

He made the allegation in a Facebook post reacting to a separate controversy involving former police commissioner Lawrence Cutajar, who was seen swimming at the same hotel as the sequestered jurors.

"Rather than fussing about Lawrence Cutajar making an obvious mistake, people should be more worried that Yorgen Fenech's defence lawyers have an agent (possibly paid) who is sending them photos from inside the juror's hotel," Caruana Galizia wrote.

He did not identify the alleged agent and offered no further details about the photographs. He also qualified the suggestion that the individual was being paid, describing it as a possibility rather than an established fact.

The allegations surface as Fenech's trial over the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia continues in court.
