A man was seriously injured after being stabbed with a knife to the neck and head area on the night between Friday and Saturday near a drinks establishment in Lourosa, municipality of Santa Maria da Feira.
The alleged perpetrator of the crime, aged 27, was apprehended by GNR military personnel moments after the incident, without managing to leave the scene.
The emergency centre received the alert at approximately two o'clock and thirteen minutes, after a quarrel had escalated into an attack with a knife. The rescue workers provided immediate assistance to the victim at the scene before transporting him to a hospital unit, where he was admitted in serious condition.
The case has been handed over to the Judicial Police, which is now investigating what actually happened and seeking to understand the causes that triggered the argument that led to the violent attack.
