Gunshots near nightlife venue in Odivelas leave one wounded
One person was injured following an armed confrontation at Armazém 18 nightclub in Odivelas. The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, 15 June.
Correio da Manhã reports that a group comprising around half a dozen to eight people attempted to enter the establishment against the wishes of management. The refusal of entry triggered an altercation that culminated in gunfire.
The victim was attended to at the scene, although details regarding the severity of the injuries have not been disclosed. The area surrounding the entertainment venue was the scene of considerable unrest during the night.
Security forces were deployed to the location to restore order. The identification and apprehension of those responsible for the shots is ongoing, in an investigation led by the competent authorities.
