A man and a woman, approximately 60 years old, followed a couple from a bank counter in Fafe to a café, where they stole a sum of five thousand euros from them.

A man and a woman, approximately 60 years old, are being sought by the GNR for stealing five thousand euros from a couple in the centre of Fafe, a municipality in Braga. The crime occurred on the morning of Wednesday, around 11:00, at Café com Letras.
The victims had just withdrawn the sum from a counter at the CTT, intended for renovation work at their residence. Accompanied by two children, they went to the café for breakfast, unaware that they were being observed from the bank.
In the establishment, the pair executed an elaborate plan. When the woman of the couple moved away from the table to go to the toilet, the male suspect deliberately knocked several coins onto the floor. The confusion generated by the incident — with several people helping to pick up the coins — served as cover for his accomplice to grab the envelope containing the money from the handbag left on a chair.
The two individuals quickly abandoned the location. Only after they had disappeared did the victims notice the theft.
The GNR released a photograph of the suspected couple on social media, obtained through the café's security cameras, in the hope that someone could identify them.
