GNR arrests three suspects of drug trafficking in Alentejo
A GNR operation in Reguengos de Monsaraz resulted in the detention of three individuals and the identification of three others, all suspected of being involved in the illegal trade of psychotropic substances. The men arrested are aged between 21 and 38 years old.
The police intervention took place on Wednesday. Throughout the day, officers carried out twelve searches in total — seven at residences and five at public spaces. During these actions, they discovered and seized dozens of portions of different drugs: 72 units of cocaine, 43 of cannabis and 23 of hashish. Eight cannabis seeds were also found.
The seized material also included a precision scale, five mobile phones and various objects used for packaging and distributing the illicit products.
The authorities informed the local court of the facts. The three detainees remained in GNR cells until they were brought before a magistrate, who would decide on the restrictive measures to be applied.
