A 24-year-old man was detained by the Judicial Police in Torres Vedras for dozens of sexual crimes against his sister, currently aged 14.
Individual from Torres Vedras arrested for sexual crimes against minor sister
Authorities detained a 24-year-old man in Torres Vedras, in the Lisbon district, for dozens of offences of child sexual abuse and the procurement of minors for prostitution. The victim is his sister, who is now 14 years old.
According to the Judicial Police, the abuse began when the minor was just three years old and continued until March of the current year. It was then that the young woman disclosed the facts to her mother, who immediately contacted the Judicial Police duty officer.
The Section for the Investigation of Sexual Crimes heard the victim, the parents, and questioned the alleged perpetrator, who was subsequently arrested outside of flagrante delicto.
The defendant will be brought before Loures Court for the first judicial interrogation and for the appropriate coercive measures to be applied.
