A man only two decades old was caught in flagrante delicto by Judicial Police investigators, accused of multiple serious crimes. The suspect, who had already accumulated a criminal history, is accused of carrying out an armed robbery that nearly cost the victim their life, in the Moita area.
The incident occurred on 18 March, in the vicinity of Moita's Vocational School. During the robbery, the individual fired at the person he was robbing, striking him in the lumbar region.
Following this assault, officers from Setúbal's Criminal Investigation Department of the PJ conducted a series of operations that led to a search of the presumed perpetrator's home. At the location, agents discovered a veritable arsenal: three pistols or revolvers, dozens of projectiles and a considerable quantity of drugs, apparently intended for illegal trade.
These discoveries led to his immediate capture. Before the judge, the young man, who had previously been convicted of identical offences, was issued with the most serious measure: pre-trial detention.
The case is being conducted by the Moita Section of Lisbon's Investigation and Criminal Action Department.
