20-year-old detained for shooting at robber in Moita
The Criminal Police arrested a 20-year-old man, accused of firing shots with intent to kill during a robbery in Moita. The incident dates back to March, near a vocational school in that area.
According to the authorities, the detainee opened fire on a man who was robbing, striking him in the abdominal region. The victim survived the injuries.
The presumed author of the shots managed to flee the scene at the time of the crime. However, investigators from the PJ were able to identify and locate him at his residence.
During the detention, carried out in flagrante, three pistols, several dozens of projectiles and a considerable quantity of narcotic substances, which would subsequently be sold, were found in the suspect's possession.
The individual, who already has a criminal record for violent offences, was brought before the court. The judge ordered preventive detention as the judicial measure.
