An 18-year-old man was arrested in Seixal on suspicion of having raped his 9-year-old sister at least four times over the past two months.

Google News PT — Crime reports that an 18-year-old man was detained in Seixal on suspicion of having raped his sister, aged 9. According to a statement from the Judicial Police (PJ), there is strong evidence against him of the commission of at least four aggravated rape offences.
According to the PJ, the facts occurred within the family residence in the municipality of Seixal over the past two months — a period that coincides with the school holidays of the suspect, who attends a vocational school in the interior of the country and has been spending more time at home.
The same statement notes that the young man took advantage of moments when he was alone with his sister, "resorting to force and physical superiority, threats and violence", forcing the minor to submit to various sexual practices.
The arrest, outside of flagrante delicto, was carried out by the Criminal Investigation Department of Setúbal of the Judicial Police. The defendant was brought before his first judicial interrogation and was subjected to the precautionary measure of preventative detention.
