Neves May Respond on PJ Contractor and Seized Trailer Movement

Interior Minister Luís Neves has received authorisation from Prime Minister Luís Montenegro to speak publicly about two cases that have generated controversy, according to Correio da Manhã. The statement is expected to take place later this week.

The two cases in question involve the same businessman: a contractor who worked for the Judicial Police and who is alleged to have carried out renovation works at a rural property in Odemira linked to the minister. The same businessman was also involved in the movement of a trailer seized in a drug-trafficking investigation, a vehicle located in Tires.

The Director of Heritage is said to have facilitated the movement of the trailer, which raised questions about the regularity of the procedure and a possible connection to the minister.
