Prosecutor general accelerates investigations into Luís Neves and break-in at André Ventura's office
Prosecutor general Amadeu Guerra assured that the Public Ministry is working to expedite cases involving minister Luís Neves and the alleged break-in at Chega's office.

The prosecutor general of the Republic, Amadeu Guerra, stated on Tuesday in Beja that the Public Ministry is "working to ensure everything moves quickly" in the cases involving the minister for Internal Administration, Luís Neves, and the alleged break-in and theft at the office of Chega's president, André Ventura, in Parliament. According to Correio da Manhã, Guerra also stressed that the inquiry into the conduct of the national director of the Judicial Police and other officials of the institution "has nothing special about it".
Regarding works on Luís Neves's property in Odemira, the prosecutor general explained that the case is proceeding in the Administrative and Tax Court of Beja. The Public Ministry is gathering information on licensing matters and maintains contact with the municipal council to establish what occurred, including aspects related to the Municipal Master Plan, currently undergoing amendments.
"If we find there are grounds to bring an administrative action, we will bring it. If we find there are no grounds to bring any administrative action, we will not," said Amadeu Guerra.
As for other cases involving the minister, Guerra referred to them as "criminal proceedings, which are under judicial secrecy", without providing further details.
Regarding the alleged break-in at André Ventura's office in Parliament, the prosecutor general confirmed that the investigation is proceeding "with speed".
Also under investigation is Carlos Cabreiro, current national director of the Judicial Police, along with other officials of the institution, for alleged crimes of false declarations and abuse of power. Guerra played down the complexity of the case: "It is a very straightforward matter, we are going to gather data, it has nothing special about it, it is like any inquiry."
