Judicial Police awarded 10% of works to company of close friend of Luís Neves
During the period from 2019 to 2025, the Judicial Police awarded approximately 10% of the total amount spent on civil construction contracts to a firm belonging to a close acquaintance of former national director Luís Neves. The information was disclosed by Correio da Manhã.
The businessman in question is a builder from Barcelos. In addition to contracts with the police institution, the same professional also carried out work on the residence of the interior minister's family, located in Odemira.
The case raises questions about the possible existence of conflicts of interest in the awarding of public contracts by the Judicial Police during Luís Neves's management.
