Four people detained in Vila Franca de Xira for threats against officers
The PSP in Vila Franca de Xira apprehended four individuals — three men and one woman — aged between 33 and 40 years old. The detention occurred on Sunday, following an argument in a public place. The information was disclosed by Correio da Manhã.
Officers observed a group engaged in assaults and shoving and attempted to separate those involved. The three men reacted immediately, challenging the police, insulting them and pushing them. Physical force was required to restrain them, as well as the woman who attempted to prevent the authorities' action.
The detained woman was carrying a stolen mobile phone. Back at the police station, the three men continued with aggressive behaviour, even threatening the officers with death. They claimed they would damage the officers' police careers through family connections.
The three men remain in custody to be brought to court, whilst the woman was released.
