Shortly before 21:00 on Monday, a severely injured man in his 20s was discovered at a riding school in the industrial area of Fosie in Malmö. The man had made his way there himself to seek help, according to Expressen.
Police and an ambulance were called to the scene. The injured man was taken to hospital by ambulance. His condition was initially unclear.
Police spokesperson Evelina Olsson stated at around 20:30 that there were indications a sharp object had been used.
– Our hypothesis is that a weapon has been involved, but this is not confirmed, she said.
The area was cordoned off as a suspected crime scene. Forensic technicians were called to examine the location. Police also investigated whether there were cameras at nearby businesses that could have captured anything on film.
At 21:10, the authority announced that an investigation into attempted murder had been launched. No one has been arrested. Police assess that there is no risk to the public.
