Woman arrested in Bratislava for selling heroin and methamphetamine from garden hut
Bratislava criminal investigators have charged a 43-year-old woman from the capital. She operated a heroin and methamphetamine dealing business from a garden hut on Kukučín Street in Nové Mesto.
According to investigators, she began the illegal activity no later than the beginning of this year. She sold the prohibited substances primarily on the basis of telephone orders. She delivered drugs to customers following prior agreement. She did not always demand cash from customers for the goods – she also traded in exchange for other items.
Police apprehended her during a house search. Officers had to use coercive measures during the operation. Inside the hut they found several bags containing crystalline and powdered substance. Laboratory tests confirmed the substances were methamphetamine and heroin.
The accused woman was remanded in custody. A judge at the District Court Bratislava I approved the motion for her pre-trial detention. For drug trafficking on such a scale, she faces seven to fifteen years imprisonment.
