Man accused of selling methamphetamine in Rožňava faces up to five-year sentence
An investigator in Rožňava has accused a 31-year-old man of committing a drug offence. Police officers from the local criminal investigation department arrested him during an operation in the city centre, on which they collaborated with a tactical unit from Košice.
The operation was the culmination of several months of work, during which detectives investigated suspicions of illegal trafficking in narcotic substances in the district. During a search of a car and a commercial premises, they discovered plastic bags containing a white crystalline substance, with police confirming on social media that the material was related to the drug scene. In addition, they seized equipment used in distribution.
During the operation, two suspected individuals were identified. Subsequently, the investigator brought charges against the 31-year-old suspect, who was alleged to have delivered methamphetamine at multiple addresses in the city to interested parties.
If the court can prove his guilt, he may be sentenced to a term of imprisonment ranging from one to five years.
